A Lens into Mark John

Mark John Almeria was born and raised in the rhythmic streets of Manila, but his passion for dance led him to the vibrant creative scene of Los Angeles, California, where he is now based. He started his professional dancing career at the age of eight. He is highly recognized as a professional dancer from Junior New System, an all-male dance crew globally renowned for their dynamic and gravity-defying performances in six-inch heels, as seen on Asia’s Got Talent, World’s Got Talent, America’s Got Talent, the World Championship of Performing Arts, World Hip Hop Dance International, and many more.

His passion for dance has opened many doors of opportunity, including the world of Zumba. He earned his Zumba license in 2023 and has been teaching classes for all ages at multiple locations in the South Bay community, including MovEssentials, LA Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness, and RevFitness. In 2026, he is embarking on a U.S. tour for his Zumba classes.

Aside from dancing, Mark John has been fascinated with the camera since he first stepped onto the world stage of Asia’s Got Talent. This curiosity led to a newfound passion for photography and videography. With the support of his wife, Maribel, what started as a hobby transformed into a sought-after business for major events: M&M Reflections, founded in 2023. As Mark John developed his skills, clients quickly recognized that he was not only a talented dancer, but also a skilled photographer and videographer who knows exactly how to cater to each client's vision.

Although Mark John is widely recognized for his work with Junior New System, he continues to expand and diversify his career. For Mark John, this is just the beginning of a new chapter.
